The K12® kindergarten History program takes your student on a world tour of the seven continents, and provides an overview of American History through a series of biographies of famous Americans. The K12 History program in grades 1-4 tells the story of civilization from the Stone Age to the Space Age. Older students explore major themes and topics in greater depth through a pair of two-year survey courses, one on World History and the other on American History. |

With the K12 History program, students will learn about major events from the American Revolution to recent times.
Because the K12 History lessons are not state-specific, OHVA distributes Ohio State History lessons to all 4th grade students. These history lessons include a teacher's guide and student guide. Students will be directed to explore state history information on the Grolier's America the Beautiful website. This website is accessed from the Help section of the Online School. The state course consists of ten lessons. Each lesson has an online section, a discussion or activity section, and a Beyond the Lesson component. |
